Snow Day!!!!

a rarity here in Vermont, a snow day. Sure, it snows all the time, just rare that we get the day off because of it. Made snow day peach pancakes, and am hanging with DD while DH sleeps in, and scratching my head for snow day ideas. It's a white-out outside, so I personally don't want to go out in it, even to "play". lol. Making it a snuggle day I think.

I'm BACK baby!

Just back from the doctor... I'm better. :) Thinks my 12 days of bleeding was likely AF and surgery bleeding combined. Suggests holding off on baby making until May/2 more full cycles. Wants to see if my cycles are returning to normal, so suggests holding off on the BCP for a bit. Once we determine my cycles are regular again, can go on the pills if I want.

I can lift, I can DTD, I can do pretty much everything again. With the note, that I may still feel pains from time to time as the nerves continue to reconnect, etc. Meaning, still take it on the easy side, but can contribute to the household again. I got to drive today!! Woot!

So I'm in a happy place, and still be careful not to over-do it. Yahoo. Next up, GI and the colonoscopy. (crud pants)...

6 weeks post surgery today!

Yes, today is a milestone. I had my surgery 6 weeks ago today, and am officially done recuperating. I have a post surgery follow up tomorrow and expect the Dr. to say all is good. I can drive again, officially lift my child (although I have been doing that for the past week or so) and can officially get back to business in the bedroom with my husband. Yay!! It's weird that I'm still a bit achey, but I think that's just my body getting used to getting back into a daily routine. Today was a big step to returning to normalcy. I got up at 7am! This is huge people.

Ack

Was suppose to have a "mother's helper" today, but thus far she's a no show. DH set it up. He's out looking at a loft bed for DD. Should be back soon. I'm painting my nails and DDs nails blue. DH just called, wants me to get DDs bed measurements. I can't find the tape measure, DD is just about to pour blue nail polish on my antique dining room table, My nails are wet, find the tape measure, got into DDs room, measure the bed, watch DD get herself stuck in her closet, fall down, begin to cry, all while trying to keep it together on the phone. needless to say, I failed. SIGH.

I'm Back Baby!!

1st day back at the office!!! Everyone has been nice in welcoming me back. My Gen Mgr even looked pleasantly surprised to see me today and said he did get the fax from my doctor, so I'm all taken care of there.

My old team, Georgia/Iowa, came by to sing Happy Valentine's Day to me to the tune of Happy Birthday. So was nice and embarrassing. LOL.

I'm shaking, more from nerves I think, and am getting started back up slowly by seeing what has been done/needs to be done.

Anyhow, just wanted to check in let you know I'm surviving. Still going to be out of sorts for a bit, but that's normal, right???

It's 12 noon, halfway mark, and I'm feeling it. I'm sore from the sitting, and so ready to take a nap. Hope that means I'll sleep well tonight.

iPhone Fun

Verizon Wireless began to sell the new iPhone 4 to the masses today at 3:01am. We stayed up to place our order. At 2:47am, I began inputing our order, and we hit submit at 2:55am. Was very surprised, but the order went though, so now I am the proud owner of a $400 confirmation number.

Phones shipping out on Friday 2/18, so should be in my possession Monday 2/21.

Valentine's Day presents to each other... Craig's is a 32GB, and mine is a 16GB, but I also have an iTouch, also with 16GB memory.

Can't wait to get it, set it up, and start using it. Going to make slow work day a bit more tolerable...

What a rush... getting the order in equates to the same feeling as being the 14th caller and winning concert tickets. Of course... it's after 4am now, and I'm putting up a blog post. I NEED TO SLEEP!!!

And I just know my daughter is going to be waking me up in less then 2 hours.

Soooo I'm taking a unisom, and hoping for the best. ;)

To Bleed, Not To Bleed

Blood earlier today, but was short lived, so I'm certain this isn't period blood, but rather more surgery blood. If I'm still having bleeding (normal), I guess I shouldn't be surprised that I'm still abdominally sore.

My daughter came home early from preschool today with a fever of 101, so she has to stay home tomorrow, which means I get to stay home too.

I pray she's in a healthy, non fever, but slightly mellow mood. I am up way too late to deal with a 4 year old tornado.

Complaints with Whine

Finally got the doctor to give me more pain medicine! When I called (per her instructions, just 1 week ago) she told me since it's now been over 6 weeks, I shouldn't need any more meds. I had to tell her nurse that the doctor was confused, as it hasn't even been 4 weeks yet! And per that doctors own words, can take up to 6 weeks recovery.

Seriously people, read a chart for once!

Anyway, nearly 24 hours later, I am finally getting an order for pain meds called in, and DH will head over to get them on his way home tonight.

Now DD is home with a fever, so I guess I won't be going to work tomorrow after all. I swear if it's not one thing, it's another.
